decided to take a break from studying today and went out with my parents for breakfast and after that i went to a distant relative's place which is up on a hill on choa chu kang.. my father wanted to go there to strip some cable wires to retrieve the copper inside to sell.. recently my father has been doing this to earn extra money after work and today me and my brother decided to help up with his work..

initially, i was stunned by the size of the cable wires becuase they were around 4-5cm in diameter and each was ranging from a length of 1 metre to 2 metre.. some were easy to strip but some were not as the rubber insulator had already melted into the copper inside.. different tools were used and my D&T skills were put to test.. using a hammer and a spanner, i had to slowly knock open the cable wires to separate the copper from the rubber insulator.. it was definitely something much more fun than studying and i finally sweat for the first time for around 2 weeks.. i really miss the weekend soccer and i have not exercise much in the past few weeks.. i found out that each Kg of copper extracted sells for $16 and i thought it was a rather good price because copper is a transition metal and it has a high density due to its small atomic radii and high atomic mass.. however, i also found out that the cable wires were bought at a rather expensive price too and thus, the overall profit was not very high.. but at the end of the day, i did not regret stripping the cable wires instead of mugging at home.. it was all worth it..

my nose is super sensitive today.. argggh... izzit the haze coming back? or izzit my stupid nose trying to be funny.. damnit..

im praying hard for my a levels now.. at this stage, studying will not make much of a difference already.. just praying that i can perform on the occassion and the questions set are within my abilities.. everyone please help me to pray!
